Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. We will provide a donation receipt for all contributions.
1. How Donations Are Used
All donations support our religious, charitable, and educational mission:
1.1 Ministry Programs
- Centro María Auxiliadora: Spiritual retreats, formation programs, and pastoral care
- Extrema Pobreza Onboard: Food, clothing, medicine, and support for the homeless and poorest
- Christown Records: Christian music ministry and artist development
- Radio Trinidad: Catholic radio broadcasts and digital evangelization
- Inspiración Divina: Faith-based publishing and spiritual literature
- F.M.A. Media: Gospel-centered media production
1.2 Operational Expenses
A portion of donations covers essential operational costs:
- Facility maintenance and utilities
- Staff salaries and benefits (where applicable)
- Technology and website maintenance
- Insurance and legal compliance
- Administrative costs (kept to minimum)
We are committed to financial stewardship and transparency. Upon request, we can provide a breakdown of how funds are allocated.
2. Types of Donations
2.1 One-Time Donations
Single gifts of any amount are deeply appreciated and immediately put to work in our ministry.
2.2 Recurring Donations
Monthly or annual recurring gifts provide stable support for ongoing programs. You can modify or cancel recurring donations at any time.
2.3 Designated Donations
You may designate your donation for a specific division or purpose (e.g., "for Extrema Pobreza food distribution"). We honor all designations to the extent possible.
Important: If a designated program is fully funded or discontinued, we reserve the right to use funds for similar purposes aligned with our mission.
2.4 In-Kind Donations
We accept non-cash donations such as:
- Food and clothing for Extrema Pobreza
- Books and religious materials
- Office equipment and supplies
- Professional services (pro bono legal, accounting, etc.)
Please contact us before making in-kind donations to ensure we can accept and use the items.
2.5 Planned Giving & Bequests
You can include Fundación María Auxiliadora in your will, trust, or estate planning. We can work with your attorney or financial advisor to structure gifts such as:
- Bequests in wills
- Charitable remainder trusts
- Life insurance beneficiary designations
- Retirement account beneficiary designations

3. Donation Processing
3.1 Online Donations
We process online donations securely through:
- Stripe: Credit/debit cards, ACH transfers
- PayPal: PayPal balance, cards, bank accounts
Your payment information is transmitted using SSL encryption and never stored on our servers.
3.2 Transaction Fees
Payment processors charge fees (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction). You may choose to cover these fees so 100% of your donation goes to our mission.
3.3 Other Payment Methods
- Check/Money Order: Make payable to "Fundación María Auxiliadora Inc." and mail to our address
- Cash: Can be given in person (receipt provided)
- Wire Transfer: Contact us for bank details
4. Tax Receipts
We provide donation receipts as follows:
4.1 Automatic Receipts
- Online Donations: Immediate email receipt upon completion
- Recurring Donations: Monthly summary emailed by 10th of following month
- Year-End Summary: Complete donation history emailed by January 31
4.2 Receipt Contents
All receipts include:
- Organization name and EIN
- Donation amount and date
- Designation (if applicable)
- Statement: "No goods or services were provided in exchange for this donation" (or value of goods/services if applicable)
- IRS-compliant language
4.3 Lost Receipts
If you need a duplicate receipt, email info@fundacionmariaauxiliadora.org with your name and approximate donation date.
5. Refund Policy
All donations are final and non-refundable except in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate charges due to technical error
- Unauthorized charges (report immediately)
- Demonstrable processing error
To request a refund for a valid reason, contact us within 30 days of the donation.
6. Recurring Donation Management
For recurring donations, you may:
- Modify Amount: Change donation amount at any time
- Change Frequency: Switch between monthly/quarterly/annual
- Update Payment Method: Change card or bank account
- Cancel: Stop recurring donations at any time (effective next billing cycle)

7. Donor Privacy
We respect your privacy:
- No Selling: We never sell, rent, or trade donor information

- Confidentiality: Donation amounts are kept confidential unless you authorize disclosure

8. Donor Recognition
Unless you request anonymity, we may recognize donors through:
- Annual reports (name only, not amount)
- Donor honor rolls (with permission)
- Thank-you acknowledgments in newsletters

You may decline recognition at any time.
9. International Donations
We accept donations from outside the United States. Please note:
- Currency conversion fees may apply
- Tax deductibility depends on your country's laws
- We can provide documentation for tax purposes where applicable
- U.S. citizens abroad may still receive U.S. tax benefits
10. Matching Gifts
Many employers match charitable donations! Check if your employer has a matching gift program and submit the required forms. Matching gifts double your impact on our mission.
11. Stock & Securities
Donations of appreciated stock may provide additional tax benefits. Contact us for account details and transfer instructions.
